Featured exhibit: The Saint John’s Bible
The monks of Saint John’s Abbey and University, Collegeville, Minnesota, have commissioned the first hand-written and illuminated Bible to be completed in the last five hundred years. Donald Jackson, lead calligrapher, worked with advisors, faculty, theologians, and artists from St. John's Abbey to complete this uniquely 21st Century Bible. The calligraphy and illuminations were done by a team of artists and calligraphers at Jackson’s scriptorium in Wales. It is a blend of ancient methods, materials, and tools with modern themes, images, technology, and text. This exquisite show will include 18 giclee images from the pages of the St. John's Bible.
Juried exhibit: regional Christian artists
This part of the exhibit features artworks by regional Christian artists. Entries must be original works and must express a Christian thought or idea. The entire spectrum of God’s creation is utilized and a wide variety of media is used.
