Cross View Cards and Games Returns 9-10 |
|
Cross View Cards & Games nights will begin for this year on September 10. Efforts are underway to contact Cross View members and friends who wish to participate in this group during the new season. New participants are welcome (e.g. play Bridge, 500, Cribbage, Whist, Golf, Dominoes, Scrabble, Pinochle, Hand and Foot). If you are interested, contact Judy & Milt Grimm, Linda & Claire Baule, or sign up on the poster in the narthex. The group meets at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Friday of the month, September - May (6:30 PM for pot luck dinners in December and May). In early September, registered participants will receive a mailing that will include the names of all players, substitutes, and hosts/co-hosts for the new season.

Driver Safety Class for Seniors |
Several AARP Driver Safety Classes will be held at Cross View later this summer. The AARP Driver Safety Program has helped millions of drivers stay safe on the roads since 1979. AARP membership is not required to take the class and there is no test to pass. The course is designed for drivers 55 and older, but it is open to drivers of all ages. Attendees may be eligible for an insurance discount upon course completion; your insurance agent would have more details. By taking the course, drivers will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate their vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment.
