Cross View supports mission work through ongoing support of the LCMS and also through financial support to CrossWays International and its work with foreign missionaries. Cross View also directly supports 2 missionary efforts at this time. They are: Serving as volunteer missionaries in Copper Center, Alaska Alaska Mission for Christ (AMC) is a non-profit mission organization directed by the churches of the LCMS in Alaska. Their goal is to reach the small and often remote settlements and villages of Alaska with the message of the Gospel. As AMC missionaries, the Roeskes actively go out to small villages and settlements and train Christian leaders. They then work to move small groups of believers toward becoming congregations.
Serving as the director of rural evangelization in Almaty, Kazakhstan Amy coordinates the translation of Christian literature, songs and youth materials into the Kazakh language, and works with small group leaders of Bible studies/worship groups in various villages. She also offers evangelism and leadership seminars in the Kazakh language to help new believers grow in their faith and share the Good News they’ve heard with their Muslim family members and friends. Amy has been a missionary with LCMS since 1992. n 1979, the Rev. Dr. Harry Wendt established Crossways International (CI), an organization which has become a leading transdenominational, non-profit ministry promoting Bible study worldwide. CI's materials incorporate visually-based study methods developed and field tested by Dr. Wendt during 24 years while serving as a pastor in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.
