Featured Exhibit
For I know the plans I have for you

For I know the plans I have for you is the festival’s featured exhibit. It consists of 30 color etchings by Tyrus Clutter, each in a cruciform image drawn from the architectural floor plans of various cathedrals. Judeo-Christian scriptural passages were added to these images, often referring to “plans” and “foundations.” Interwoven with the cathedral images, the words are inseparable from the plans themselves. This interweaving of text and imagery leads viewers to consider the complexity of the allusions disclosed.

Juried Exhibit

In addition to the featured exhibit, the Cross View Christian Art Festival features a juried exhibit of Christian art in a wide variety of media by regional artists.

Entries must be original works and must express a Christian thought or idea. The entire spectrum of God’s creation can be utilized. Almost any artistic medium may be used, including watercolor, oils, sculpture, mosaic, ceramic, glass, printmaking, drawing, photography, weaving, stitchery, metal, textiles, assemblages, banners, jewelry, calligraphy, scale models and computer generation. Works must be prepared for gallery display for acceptance.
