Stephen Ministry
Are you hurting, lonely, grieving, or in need of someone to listen? Stephen Ministers are here to help you.
Stephen Ministry is a caring Christian ministry for those facing challenging times, including:
* Hospitalized
* Terminally ill
* Bereaved
* In a job crisis
* Disabled
* Homebound
* In a personal or spiritual crisis
* New to the community
A Stephen Minister is…
* A caring Christian who listens to your situation.
* A layperson who developed special gifts through 50 hours of training to offer encouragement and support in times of need, grief, or crisis.
* A non-judgmental person with a strong commitment to confidentiality—anything discussed with a Stephen Minister remains strictly between you and your minister.
A Stephen Minister is not…
* A counselor or therapist, a casual visitor, or a “problem solver.”
Consider allowing a Stephen Minister to walk with you on your journey to wholeness. There are no fees. All conversations are strictly confidential; nothing you share will be discussed with anyone else. Assignments are always made on a same-gender basis.
