Cross View Early Childhood Center offers more than exceptional child care. We provide a Christ-centered community where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow. Since 1987, we have partnered with families to nurture children's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development through caring relationships, joyful learning experiences, and faith woven into everyday life.

We welcome children from 6 weeks through Pre-K. During the summer, we also offer School-Age Care for children entering kindergarten through fourth grade.

Cross View ECC is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We provide full-day, year-round care, with closures for designated holidays, staff development days, and other dates listed on the ECC calendar.

Children learn through purposeful play, exploration, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships. Our classrooms support growth in language, early literacy, math, science, creative arts, problem solving, physical development, and social-emotional skills.

Faith is woven naturally into daily life at Cross View ECC. Children participate in age-appropriate Bible stories, prayer, songs, classroom devotions, and weekly chapel. They also experience Christian values through the kindness, forgiveness, encouragement, and care modeled by their teachers.

Yes. Children are given opportunities to explore learning centers, dramatic play, building materials, sensory activities, science, art, music, and movement. Teachers thoughtfully guide these experiences to support developmental and academic growth.

Our Pre-K program helps children strengthen early literacy, phonemic awareness, math readiness, communication, problem solving, independence, and social skills. Our goal is to prepare children academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually for their next step.

If your child's classroom is full, we can add your family to the waiting list at no cost. We will contact you when an appropriate space becomes available.

Classroom transitions are based on age, developmental readiness, available space, staffing, and the child's individual needs. Children typically visit their new classroom gradually over the course of a week so they can become comfortable with the teachers, routines, and environment.

Cross View ECC uses the Tadpoles parent app for messages, daily reports, photos, classroom updates, and information about meals, diapering, rest, and general behavior. Parent-teacher conferences are also held twice each year.

Cross View ECC follows Minnesota licensing requirements, maintains secure building-access procedures, uses security cameras in the building, and carefully manages child arrival and release. Staff members are trained in pediatric first aid and CPR, emergency procedures, SUID prevention, and abusive head trauma prevention.

Cross View ECC is licensed by the State of Minnesota, accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation , and recognized as a Four-Star Parent Aware program. Yes. Outdoor play is an important part of Cross View ECC day, and classes typically use the playground twice daily when conditions allow. When weather prevents outdoor play, children can enjoy active play in our large indoor gym.

Cross View ECC follows a no-screen-time classroom policy. Instead, children spend their days engaged in hands-on learning, creative play, social interaction, movement, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
