Fall 2023 Events
Join us on Wednesday evenings for Youth and Adult Bible Classes. Choose from options for all ages including Community Light School of Discipleship, The Chosen Bible study as well as Kidstitute and Confirmation for Kindergarten through 7th Graders. Classes run from 6:30p to 8:00p throughout the fall, winter and spring. Call the Church office with any questions.
Join us for a catered meal and fellowship from 5:15–6:15 PM on September 27, 2023, prior to Recharge education and programs for all ages.
The menu for September 27, 2023 is: Sloppy Joe – Ancho chili sloppy Joe sliders, Potato chips, Salad, Dessert
Meals are $7 each with a family cap of $25.

Community Light School of Discipleship (CLSD) is a community Bible study that is offered free of charge to individuals and congregations to help them grow as disciples who make disciples. Our goal is to equip God’s people with the best resources the church has to offer so that they might “go” and make disciples wherever God has planted them.
CLSD is offered onsite with small groups meeting in various rooms on campus at Cross View. Online participants will be able to access lectures and media through via a live-streamed at https://crossviewedina.online.church (Please Note: online participants may submit questions to presenters via the online chat). All sessions will be archived and accessible for churches or individuals to use at their convenience.
Community Light will be on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Central time starting on September 13, 2023 and running through February 7, 2024 (No class October 18, November 22, December 27, or January 3.)
Class Format is as follows:
6:30 – 6:35 – Opening
6:35 – 7:15 – Presenter Lecture
7:15 – 7:25 - Q & A with Presenter
7:25 – 8:00 – Small Group Discussion

If you’re in need of rest for your soul from the anxieties and worries in the world, join your sisters in Christ for Promised Rest: Finding Peace in God’s Presence by Michelle Diercks. This book study will focus on the different names and characteristics of God. We’ll see how He keeps His promises to give us rest by offering us His name to cling to. Join us at 9:30–10:30 AM on Sundays this fall for our Welcome to Cross View series. This is a series of classes for anyone interested in becoming a member and for those who have been members and want a refresher. You’ll get an overview of the Cross View family, learn the heart of the Cross View family, and learn how our heart works itself out in our Cross View Family. Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 am, September 17- October 22. Classes onsite. Click here to register. · September 17 – October 1: Joining the CV Family Go a little deeper and learn the heart of the Cross View family. In this class, you’ll learn about our Lutheran faith and beliefs.
· October 8 – October 22: Going All In With the CV Family Go all in and learn how to get involved with your gifts, talents, and how God created us to Connect, Grow, and Serve.
· October 22: New Member Sunday Formally become a member of the CV faith family during the 10:45 AM worship service.
The senior high youth will be going to Top Golf in Brooklyn Center on October 1, 2023.
We will meet at Cross View, leaving at 5:15 pm and returning around 8:30 pm, so we can enjoy the full 2 hours of golf time.

Cross View is launching a response team this fall with CarePortal, a network that helps meet the needs of children and families in crisis within our community. If you are interested in joining Cross View’s response team or just want to learn more, register for ONE of the training sessions either on October 1 or 5. Either one of the training sessions are 2 hours in length and will be held at Cross View.

Do you love games?! Are you curious about games you’ve heard about like Splendor, Sagrada, Wingspan, and Codenames? Cross View Game Night is open to all teens and adults, including church members and their guests. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own board games or card games they enjoy. If you bring a game, please be prepared to show others how to play. Join us for fun and fellowship at church! The next game night will be October 8, 2023, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. You are invited to the Men’s Ministry Breakfast at Cross View on Saturday, October 14th from 8:00-10:00 AM! Guest speaker Mike Max of WCCO will share about "The Faith to be a Grinder". Bring a friend or neighbor to join you for a great morning of fellowship with Christian men. This is the registration for our youth and their parents (or any others who would like to rake with us) to help out at our Rake and Run Fundraiser. Click here to register to volunteer.
This is the registration for those who would like to have their lawn raked as a part of our Rake & Run fundraiser.
When we rake, we ask for a donation of $7 per leaf bag.
We will contact you the week before to let you know the approximate time a group will be at your house to rake.
