What denomination is Cross View?
Cross View is a part of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
What is your purpose as a congregation?
We are a congregation that holds to the Bible as the true Word of God, and we view the journey of life by faith.
As God’s people, we believe we are called, strengthened, and encouraged together under a clear mission to connect, grow, and serve as fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ along life’s journey.
We welcome and embrace those interested in joining us on our journey.
Do you have to be a member of Cross View to attend worship services at Cross View?
No! Visitors attend worship services every week at Cross View, and we welcome you to be our guest on any Sunday morning for worship. We offer an 8:15 AM Traditional and a 10:45 AM Contemporary service. The 8:15 and 10:45 AM services are also streamed live. We also offer Bible study and Sunday school at 9:30 AM.
When is communion served?
Communion is served at all services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
When is Sunday School?
Sunday school takes place on Sunday mornings during our all-ages Education Hour from 9:30-10:30 AM.
Do you have childcare available during the worship services?
Yes. During worship services, we have a nursery for young children 0 to 3 years old.
Can my family attend church without being a member?
Absolutely! We gladly welcome all to worship with us on Sundays as well as participate in our Sunday Education Hour. Twice a year, new membership classes are held Sunday mornings during our Education Hour if your family decides to call Cross View "home."
What ministries are available to young adults?
Our young adults group, TNT, is specifically designed for people in their 20s and 30s to connect with each other and other Cross View members while participating in social and service activities. Click here to learn more.
What is the attire for your worship services?
We have no required attire at Cross View. Come as you are, prepared to worship!
Who attends Cross View?
An amazing mix of religious backgrounds, cultures, and life stages are all represented at Cross View. Many of our families and individuals live or work nearby in Edina, Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Hopkins, Shakopee, and Richfield. But we also have members and visitors who join us each Sunday from across the Twin Cities metro and outstate Minnesota. Over 350 worshippers gather each week to explore, grow in, and celebrate the blessing of life through Jesus Christ.
Can I receive communion at Cross View if I am not a member?
Yes. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of communion, and if you agree with our confession of faith, you are welcome to commune with us.
